The site is based in the small inlet that Yamba spreads itself along. It also takes in the eastern and southern portion of Hickey Island, that is accessed easily via the isthmus. There are some mangroves on the scrubby island, otherwise the land along the southern edge of the inlet is developed.
No camping is allowed here
