Signposted from either the Gibb River Rd or the Great Northern Hwy west of Fitzroy Crossing, this is a paid NP campsite, there are also day fees to enter here. From the campground a well trodden path leads up to the gorge, it’s an overused area. The waterholes are permanent which still attract a lot of birds and Freshwater Crocodiles are common. Away from the human damaged areas there is good habitat here.
Camp rating 6, this is a popular national parks campground with both camp fees and day fees to enter, there are hot showers here, which bumps up the price. The best free camp in the area is at the Lennard River crossing on the Gibb River Rd.
