On Long Spur Rd about 1km south of the Lyell Hwy, there is no access to the lagoon, but there’s good forest along the road which is my best spot for both Melithreptus honeyeaters, an open area for the powerline, then good forest down around the lake.
Camp rating 4 there’s plenty of space here but there is no established campsite.
