This is the only public access to the beach, there is a day use area and a caravan park here about 10km N of the Great Northern Hwy along a dirt road. The beach is popular and the sand dunes in good condition, a walk around the caravan park will net a few more birds, at low tide a small shelf attracts the waders during the wet.

No free camping allowed here, the caravan park is expensive and the owner unfriendly
