About 85km west of Top Springs, the causeway here needs to be treated with caution. If the level is high the road will usually be closed, nevertheless be careful, and beware of Saltwater Crocodiles. The river usually flows over causeway. The river flat is heavily scarred during the wet season, so the better habitat is above the flood level.
Camp rating 7 best on east bank. beware of flash flooding during the wet season.
