On Canning Rd Masonhills Rd loops around, the road down to the reservoir leads off this. There are two gates, one is about 1km short of the carpark, the other is at the carpark. From the carpark there is a pleasant walking track down to the dam wall. The best birding is in the park at the base of the dam. The walking track to Brickley Brook Reservoir is also worth a wander along for at least 1km.
