On the northern outskirts of Timber Creek town Wilson St heads south, a few hundred meters down the road a small track leads up the escarpment. About 300m along at the end of the track there are two water tanks that can be seen from the road, one of them has a small leak attracting the birds. The leak used to be much larger. There is good habitat in the surrounds. There is a gate near the end which should not be blocked. I recommend parking at the start of the track and walking up through the habitat.
No free camping is allowed in the town limits
