About 15km south of the city, access is off Russell Rd or Lorimer St in Munster. There is a track that runs around the lake, but the best birding is along the east shore. The lake is mostly shallow, with some vermin proof fencing around some excellent remnant habitat. The lake usually dries out over summer.
