Next to the IGA this is where we stayed for our 3 month tenure working at the IGA. It has some good shade trees and has some scrub across the road and to the north. The lawn is watered daily and this is what attracts the birds. The park is not a good place to stay as the local kids roam the streets at night and there have been many thefts from campers including us.

I don’t advise staying here because of the crime rate in town. The campground at Fitzroy River Lodge is a bit better option, but they still have problems there too.
