St Helens Basin camp Tas

Survey Point St Helens Basin camp Tas
Latitude-41.3706600 (41° 22′ 14″ S)
Longitude148.2920800 (148° 17′ 31″ E)

On the Tasman Hwy about 12km south of St Helens, on a small promontory around the basin also known as Diana’s Basin, the camp is free with no facilities. The beach is closed to driving which I applaud, but some people are selfish enough to ignore the rule. There is good littoral habitat here and the sandy flats are prospective for beach nesting birds which is why I hope they enforce the rule here.

Camp rating 10 there are sites all along the shore of the placid bay, there are no facilities here
