On the Flinders Ranges Way the site lies in the low hills between Appealinna Rd and Wirrealpa Rd about 22km north of Wilpena Pound. This is a well know site for Short-tailed Grasswrens, but they can be elusive, apart from the spinifex grassland there isn’t much else here, though the flatland around the hillocks are certainly more diverse than simply the spinifex.
