On Progress Dr in Beeliar Regional Park south of the city, there is a small car park, a trail leads south around the lake, affording good views into the lake. In the SW corner there is some remnant woodland, it is here that the Eurasian Hobby has been roosting lately, it also regularly seen at Bibra Lake, just to the south.
