Mitchell River roadside lagoon Qld

Survey Point Mitchell River roadside lagoon Qld
Latitude -16.0700000 (16° 4′ 12″ S)
Longitude 142.6230600 (142° 37′ 23″ E)

On the Alt Savannah Hwy or Burke Developmental Rd the site is about 20km east of Dunbar. This is a semi-permanent water source right by the roadside, it’s a good magnet for the local birdlife. The woodland surrounding the lagoon is good but with poor ground cover because of all the stock. The Mitchell River is about 2km to the north and is not included in the surveys.

Camp Rating 6 There are spots all along the south side of the lagoon, no facilities and right by the road
