Survey Point | Mitchell River north of Dunbar Station Qld |
Latitude | -15.9627800 (15° 57′ 46″ S) |
Longitude | 142.4244400 (142° 25′ 28″ E) |
The site is on the main track, there is now a causeway across the river. The river has permanent flow. The back eddies and pools attract waterbirds and the surrounding vegetation is dense, attracting the bush birds. A very pleasant spot.
There is no camping allowed here now without permission from Dunbar Station, because of poor behavior from past campers.
