Off the Lyell Hwy about 2km SW of Derwent Bridge, there is camping here with no facilities. The small unmarked track off the highway can be hard to spot as it’s on a bend in the road. There are a number of tracks through the forest with lots of nice alcoves to camp. When the water is low you can see the drowned stumps of what used to be more forest.
Camp rating 8 there are a lot of small camping spots by the lake here, but no facilities. National Park fees are payable.
