A small track leads off Namatjira Dr about 9km west of Larapinta Dr SW of Alice Springs to where the river breaks through a small ridge, the riverbed and the low hills have good vegetation.

Camp rating 8 there is no established camp here, Birthday Gap Waterhole is the established camp about 4km further along the track to the NW.
