Survey Point | Hamersley Gorge camp WA |
Latitude | -22.2399100 (22° 14′ 24″ S) |
Longitude | 117.9584300 (117° 57′ 30″ E) |
Just to the north of the access track to Hamersley Gorge there is an unmarked track that leads west off the Wittenoom-Nanutarra Rd, the camp is a short way down the track at the base of some cliffs, there is Bloodwood/Snappy Gum woodland in spinifex. The cliffs do have breaks in them to give easy access above them , for even better views
Camp rating 6, this is a large free camp with no facilities, the best site is close to the cliff where there is a nice view off to the south., another good option is on top of a small knoll a bit further on.
