5km N of the Shark Bay Rd at the end of the road a short stroll onto the beach reveals the boardwalk that takes you out to see the fascinating structures, well worth the side trip. The scrub between the car park and the beach is pretty good. Note in 2023 the boardwalk was closed and may well be for some time yet. There is no close access to the stromatolites that were damaged in the cyclone that damaged the boardwalk.

No free camping here, there is a commercial caravan park here.
