About 4km north of Richmond on the Woolgar Rd, a track heads off to the west to the north of the airport, about 4km along a small track leads north about 1.5km to the river. The habitat along the river is great, and water stays in the river bed for quite some time after the rains.
Camp rating 9, there is no established campsite here, it’s best to reverse up the dead end track that leads to an overlook of the river just to the east of where the small track meets the river.
