On the Brachina Gorge Rd about 18km east of the Outback Hwy, a few campsites strung out along Brachina Ck are as close to the gorge as you can camp now. It’s a nice spot, my site towards the top offers a bit of upland grassland as well as the huge River Red Gums that dominate the site. The creek often has water in a pool towards the top end. There is a drop toilet at this paid campsite that must be pre-booked.
