Off Smmerhill Rd off Ulan Rd off the Golden Hwy, the nearest town is Cassilis about 10km to the NE. A small track leads off Summerhill road just before the bend giving access to the state forest. The track is not maintained and is slowly returning to the forest, which can be good birding. The farmland to the NE is virtually treeless.
