About 18km west of Georgetown on the Savannah Way Hwy1, this can be a superb place to be. The surrounding farmlands are in poor condition , but the area around the dams and the creekline that runs away from the main dam is in good condition, unfortunately a weed has taken hold here and in recent years the waterfowl life has been declining, but it’s still worth checking out. A second dam over the road from Carnes Rd is fenced off.
Camp Rating 10 This is a free camp and can be quite busy during peak season. There are toilets here and a viewing platform over the main pond.
