At the old mining town, the place has been turned into an eco-resort by the Pieman River. In the dense riverine forests there are 2 walking trails, one can hire canoes and there is the Arcadia II a 1933 boat made out of Huon Pine that does a half day trip down to the heads. I worked here mainly plying the barge across the river that costs $25 per vehicle.

No free camping is allowed here, there are some nice spots to camp by the river for a fee, advance booking is needed during peak times.
