On the Great Northern Hwy this one of several creeks that cross the hwy as they meet to become the Yule River to the west. It has a sandy bed so is usually dry. The creek is quite wide with some trees in islands in the middle. The usual thin line of trees along the banks quickly thinning out away from the creek. On hot days the birds will roost under the bridge.
