Along Sandalwood Rd go past the Cape Riche campground to the beach where the Eyre River meets the sea. The sand bar is permanent with the created backwater attracting some birds. The littoral habitat around the point also attracts some birds, the beach is popular and has vehicular access so usually lacks birds.
