Survey Point | Cape Melville Track beach track Qld |
Latitude | -14.7902800 (14° 47′ 25″ S) |
Longitude | 145.0183300 (145° 1′ 6″ E) |
The site is about 60km north of Hope Vale and is at the end of the track by the Starke River. The site is messy being close enough to Cooktown to attract visitors who as usual can’t resist trashing what should be a beautiful spot. Although damaged there’s a good mix of habitats here from the river to mangroves to beach to scrub.
