On the Barwon Heads Rd about 1km in from the heads, there is a sand/mud flat in the river here which can host good numbers of waders in season. There are toilets at the site. There is patchy remnant habitat along the shore amid the camp spaces.
Camping is only allowed here during summer for a fee
