Norman River & town dam Qld

Just north of the town, at the turn off to the boat ramp there is a small track that heads west, find the small cattle grid, cross it, and then follow it to the raised dam, from there keep heading west and find the string of sometimes dry ponds and swing north to find the river. The area can produce good birding in the mixture of habitats.

Camp rating 7 there are no facilities here. It’s best to camp by the river, but should be used by self contained vehicles only because of the risk of crocodiles.
