Bronzewing Reserve open area Vic

Survey Point Bronzewing Reserve open area Vic
Latitude -35.2155600 (35° 12′ 56″ S)
Longitude 142.3155600 (142° 18′ 56″ E)

About 10km south of Ouyen the Calder and Sunraysia Hwys meet, just south on the Sunraysia, Steele Rd crosses the railway line, Baker Rd heads south just over the railway line and turns into Merrett Rd that runs along the north edge of the reserve. There is a fire break track that runs parallel to Merrett Rd in the reserve, find a spot where you can bush bash your way through to it, the best spot is a few yards or so before the fire track in the reserve turns south, there is a spot here where other people have driven through, so you shouldn’t have to literally bush bash, but it isn’t marked. Once found this can be a gem of a place to camp with a lovely open area surrounded by Mallee about 2km into the reserve. 4wd is necessary to get over the sand dunes on the fire track, so this is no place for caravans.

Camp rating 9, it’s a great place to camp but no facilities
