About 20km east of Kaniva on the Western Hwy Merwyn Swamp road is a narrow dirt road that follows the eastern edge of the swamp southwards. The site is at the junction with Buckley Rd about 2km down. The swamp is usually dry but is a good woodland. To the NE is a lightly wooded grazing field and to the SW is cleared cropland.
