The site is where Ten Chain Rd crosses the railway line about 2km west of the Eyre Hwy. The reserve along the railway line is about 100m wide with open farmland away from it. There are occasional trains overnight on this road with virtually no traffic.
Camp rating 6 best on the small unused track on the SE of the railway line. This is not an established camp and trains run along the rail to and from the mine down the line.
