About 40km east of Ilkurlka Roadhouse, the site is on a section of the track that has a NW-SE orientation. The actual site is by the un-named lake that lies about 300m to the west of the track at its closest. There is good woodland in the area, the lake is usually a salt flat. Permits are required to travel this road.
