On the Flinders Ranges Way about 16km north of Wilpena Pound, the road goes to the lookout. The survey area remains in the valley. This is the well known site for Short-tailed Grasswren, but they can be elusive, as well as the spinifex, there are some small copses and a dam that usually has water in it.

No camping here.
