Abattoir swamp and Hunters Creek Qld

Survey Point Abattoir Swamp & Hunters Ck Qld
Latitude -16.6336100 (16° 38′ 1″ S)
Longitude 145.3258300 (145° 19′ 33″ E)

On the Mossman Mount Molloy Rd, the site is about 7km north of Mount Molloy. The swamp when in good condition can be fantastic, but lately seems to have been managed more for the cattle than the birds. There is a short track in to a bird hide with a bit of woodland. The gps ref is half way between the swamp and the creek that lies to the north. The creek is a thin strip of remnant rainforest and can be very productive.
