On the Stuart Hwy the tower is to the east of the highway about 42km north of the junction with Gosses Rd ( the road to Kingoonya) or 153km south of Coober Pedy. There are patches of good scrub in generally light woodland, with some open spaces.
Camp rating 6 there is a fence past the tower which limits the distance from the road, there are no facilities
