The site is on the Old Onslow Rd. There are lots of free camping spots along the river, this one is at the old barrier and had some rocks for the birds to roost on. Along the river are lots of large River Gums with lower scrub away from the river. The pool is also accessible by cattle that wade into the river and defecate in to it
